The COVID-related restrictions on pubs and restaurants recently announced by the Scottish Government (8 October) will not affect our October holidays opening hours.
**Abbey Cottage is open every day in October, 11-4**
We re-opened after lockdown on 15 July and these are some of the measures that we have in place to reduce the risks for our customers and our team.
Everyone now enters the building using the door at the side, facing Sweetheart Abbey. We now require everyone to wear a face covering and use the hand sanitizer station just inside the doorway.
Please use our one-way system to help with social distancing. Once you’re inside, you can turn left for the shop and right for the tearoom.
We’re sanitising the tables and chairs after every user. So, please don’t enter the tearoom until we ask you to. We’ll take you to the next available table.
There are fewer tables in the tearoom to give everyone much more space and allow for physical distancing, but there is more outdoor seating (physically distanced). Let’s hope the lovely Autumn sunshine continues!
To comply with the Covid track and trace procedures, everyone who eats-in (in the tearoom or garden) has to provide their name and contact details which we need to hold for 21 days.
Please do just get in touch if you have any questions.
Morag, Jacqui and the Abbey Cottage team xx
